HASA Environmental Policy

Hasa Group produces and markets both redwood and whitewood sawn timber. Its products are mainly used for furniture and joinery purposes and, in the construction industry.

The company takes into account environmental values in all its activities from raw material procurement to delivery of the ready made product to its customer. The raw material is sourced from sustainable PEFC certified forests and HASA Group has official certification confirming its Chain of Custody Standards.

The production of sawn timber is based on the usage of renewable raw material. Sawn timber is a safe and environmentally friendly product, which is 100 % recyclable. HASA Group's target in its production process is to get as high yield as possible. All the by-products are used. The chips are a valuable raw material for the chemical forest industry, and a local power station turns saw dust and bark into bio-energy. HASA Group is a shareholder in the power station.
